Vision for Life began advertising in Pittsburgh with a big TV ad campaign for six weeks in early 2011. The year before in Allegheny County, out of every 4 babies in the womb (excluding miscarriages), three were born; one was aborted. In 2018, abortion ratios for Allegheny County residents reached the lowest level ever, probably lower than even in 1973, the year of the infamous Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. By 2019, the last year for which we have the stats, four out of five babies were born.
From 2010 to 2019, the ratios of abortions to live births went down across the rest of Pennsylvania by 15%, but they went down 20% in Allegheny County. We estimate that the abortionists have lost more than a million dollars in abortions prevented by advertising pregnancy medical centers.

The statistics for births over the same period in Allegheny County show a remarkable pattern, too. The birth rate in Allegheny County rose slightly after we began our work, while declining, on average, 6.4% in PA's other counties.
3 out of 4 in 2010; 4 out of 5 in 2015; now we are going for 5 babies out of every 6!
Advertising pregnancy help is playing a key part in reducing abortions, and therefore in increasing the number of babies being born. Each young woman who chooses life over death becomes a center of influence among her friends and her family. She is a walking advertisement that you don't have to choose abortion. The effects of her decision ripple out around her, so that others are encouraged to do what's right.
3 out of 4; 4 out of 5; with your help, with God's help, we are going for 5 out of 6!
